George Lee (he/him) is an editor, photographer, and consultant with four decades of journalism and communications experience. His career has included newspaper, magazine, newsletter, and website editing, writing, and photography. For about 10 years he wrote and self-syndicated a humour column. A settler of Irish and English descent, George developed an interest in Indigenous cultures and issues as a child in Penticton, B.C., growing up next to the local reserve. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission, especially its 94 calls to action, rekindled his interest. He lives, writes, edits, and takes pictures in Edmonton, where his consultancy, Features West Studios, is based.
