Dr. Karine Duhamel (she/her/kwe) is an Anishinaabe-Métis historian, and served as Director of Research for the historic National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Since the close of the Inquiry, she has been working with governments to advance the implementation of the Inquiry's Calls for Justice as well as working across the country to increase awareness of the root causes of violence and of the importance of self-determined solutions.
